Dr Nipun Merchant Awarded a T32 Training Grant for Research Training in Surgical Oncology

Requirements and Guidelines

  • Applicants must be MDs or MD/PhDs
  • A two year commitment to the program is required. Exceptions are considered for gynecologic oncology fellows.
  • Trainees must be able to commit full-time effort, normally defined as 40 hours per week, to the program and its related research activities, consonant with NRSA guidelines.
  • Applicants are accepted up to 2 years in advancement of enrollment
  • At the time of appointment to the training program, individuals selected for research training support by the NRSA institutional training grants must be citizens or non-citizen nationals of the United States, or must have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence, i.e., in possession of a currently valid Alien Registration Receipt Care I-551, or some other legal verification of legal admission as a permanent resident.
  • Individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups and individuals with disabilities are always encourage to apply for NIH support.
