Sylvester at Deerfield Beach is a satellite facility located near the Broward-Palm Beach county line. The facility opened its doors in January 2003 and offers a broad range of cancer-related services, including consultations, second opinions, follow-up visits, and access to clinical trials. It also hosts educational activities and events, and cancer screenings. Click here for directions to the facility.

In addition, UHealth has a full suite of leading-edge, diagnostic imaging services, including bone density screening, digital mammography, digital radiology and fluoroscopy, state-of-the-art MRI, 64-slice CT, PET/CT, SPECT/CT, C-arm (pain management), stereotactic breast biopsy, and ultrasonography.

Sylvester at Deerfield Beach offers appointments with more than 30 physicians -- all faculty of the Miller School of Medicine -- from 14 of Sylvester’s 15 site disease groups. This location also features a 15-chair chemotherapy infusion unit, laboratory and pharmacy services, complementary therapies from the Courtelis Center, support groups, and educational and outreach events. 

Specialized procedures at the satellite facility include, but are not limited to, bone marrow biopsy, breast biopsy, colposcopy, cystoscopy, fine needle aspiration, pain blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and ultrasound-guided biopsy. Patients requiring other diagnostic, treatment, and surgical procedures can use the shuttle service from Sylvester at Deerfield Beach to the Miami facility for a nominal fee, Monday through Friday.
