Jayne Malfitano’s involvement with Sylvester dates back more than 20 years when her father, Harcourt Sylvester Jr., first pledged $27.5 million to the University of Miami to build a cancer center in honor of his parents. Since that time, Malfitano’s commitment to cancer care in South Florida has only deepened. Today, she participates actively on the board and is a member of its marketing committee.
“Sylvester has given a future to so many,” she says. “I want to help continue that commitment.” Getting involved has always been a way of life for Malfitano. She additionally is a member of the board of trustees for The Children’s Place at Home Safe, past president of the Junior League of Boca Raton, and president of the board of directors for the Harcourt M. and Virginia W. Sylvester Foundation.
