Barbara Havenick Barbara Havenick is the owner, president and CEO of Magic City Casino/Flagler Greyhound Track, as well as The Naples/Ft. Myers Greyhound Track in Naples, Florida. She is also General Partner of Hecht Properties, Ltd., a property leasing company based in Miami, Florida. Havenick attended the University of Miami, where she earned a law degree. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1975.

Havenick's affiliations include: member, University of Miami Board of Trustee; guardian member, Circle of Giving, Temple Beth Sholom; member, Jewish Museum of Florida; founder, Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation; founder, Society of Founders, University of Miami; founder, Miami Youth Museum; former chair, Board of Trustees-Ransom Everglades; past member, Board of Directors, Miami Youth Museum; past member, Board of Directors, Greater Miami Jewish Federation; past member, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation; and past member, Casa Valentina; past treasurer, Kristi House.

"Sylvester is among the best cancer centers in the United States. I am proud to work so closely with all those associated with this instiution," said Havenick. "It is my fervent hope that together we will find a cure for cancer."

Havenick was married to Fred Havenick, who passed away in June 2006. She has four children, Isadore, Jennifer, Alex and Michael who all have a role in the family business.
