Michelle Lin is the Associate Director, Administration for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is responsible for the Research Division overall operations, including management of all administrative, fiscal, facilities, shared resources, education and training, and personnel resources.
Michelle joined the University of Miami and Sylvester in 1996. During her 20 year career, Michelle has held roles as Manager of the Grants Division and Assistant Director for the Sylvester Office of Research Administration, and more recently as the Executive Director of Sylvester Research Administration since 2008. In this role she was responsible for the research infrastructure, including pre-award administration, information technology, intramural grants program, research activities and events, recruitment, onboarding of faculty and staff, and space planning. Conception and establishment of a Project Administration System (PAS) and the improvement in reporting capabilities among the Research Administration home grown report systems tracking research funding and research productivity are among her contributions. She has an extensive record of working effectively with research faculty and staff to promote and facilitate research.
During her tenure at Sylvester Michelle obtained both her Bachelor and executive Master degrees in Business Administration. She is currently a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators, the Society of Research Administrators International, the Association of American Cancer Institutes and the Cancer Center Administrators Forum.
