, Board of GovernorsNaomi Prever is the President of the Papanicolaou Corps for Cancer Research where she is responsible for raising funds to support cancer research at Sylvester. The Pap Corps has more than 21,000 members in 52 units throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Prever has been a Florida realtor for more than 35 years. Before that, she taught school in New York City. A graduate of Brooklyn College, she majored in education and sociology. Her background in charitable organizations includes: editor of the B’nai B’rith newspaper; chairman of Young Leadership in Jewish Federation; president of Cancer Care, Port Washington, NY; president of Hollywood Hills H.S. PTO; a member of the Arts in the Schools Grants Program, State of Florida. She is a Life Member of the Greater Boca Raton Cancer Unit of the Pap Corps where she held jobs such as membership VP, bulletin writer, and then unit president. She joined the Pap Executive Board eight years ago and started an education program, writing a monthly FYI for all Pap members as well as a successful Health Day.
A mother of two daughters and grandmother of two grandchildren, Prever is dedicated to raising much-needed funds for Sylvester and to bringing awareness of its programs to South Florida. "The Pap Corps is proud of its fundraising abilities to support the important and innovative work of Sylvester doctors and researchers," says Prever.
