Vice Chair, Board of GovernorsAdam Carlin is a senior partner in the Bermont/Carlin Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Affiliated with the firm since 1994, he serves as director of portfolio management, focusing on the management of assets for high net worth individuals and their families, endowments, pension funds and non-profit organizations. He has been named among Research Magazine’s Top Advisors in America, 2006-2008.
A generous supporter of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and a University of Miami alumnus, Carlin is co-chair of the Sylvester’s Founders Society Board Committee. He and his wife, Chanin, were committee members and sponsors of Sylvester’s 2008 In the Garden Gala and the 2009 Designed for a Cure.
Carlin’s affiliations include: New World Symphony board of trustees; The Wellness Community-Greater Miami board of directors; the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade; Shake-A-Leg Miami; executive committee member and past chairman of the Banker’s Club; former trustee of the United Way of Miami-Dade; and former volunteer for the Voices for Children Foundation. In addition, Carlin serves on the executive committee of the UM Citizens Board.
