Nilda P. Peragallo, Dr.P.H., R.N., F.A.A.N.
Board of GovernorsNilda Peragallo, Dr.P.H., is professor and dean of the School of Nursing and Health Studies and has served on the Sylvester Board of Governors since 2003.
Additionally, Peragallo has served on a number of committees, councils, and boards, including the National Advisory Council on Nurse Education and Practice, the Steering Committee for the Bright Futures for Women Initiative, Health Resources and Services Administration, the Board of Trustees Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools, the Initial Review Group, National Institute of Nursing Research, the National Alliance and Advisory Panel for Bioterrorism Education and Preparedness Activities, Interamerican College of Physicians and Surgeons, and the boards of the Public Health Trust, Jackson Health System, and Cedars Medical Center.
Peragallo received a B.S. degree in nursing from the University of Chile, an M.S. from the University of West Virginia, and a Dr.P.H. from the University of Texas. “Sylvester is an invaluable asset to the people of South Florida and beyond and I’m pleased to be a part of it,” says Peragallo.
