, Board of GovernorsAaron H. Wolfson, M.D., is co-leader of the Gynecologic Cancer Site Disease Group, professor and vice chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology, and professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After receiving his M.D. from the University of Florida, Wolfson completed his internship at the University of Miami and his residency in radiation oncology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He joined the faculty of the University of Miami School of Medicine’s Department of Radiation Oncology as an instructor immediately upon completion of his residency. From 1995 to 2003, Wolfson served as director of the department’s residency training program.
Wolfson is certified by the American Board of Radiology for Radiation Oncology. He is trained for both gamma knife and cyberknife stereotactic radiotherapy. He is the creator and co-inventor of the patented device now trademarked by Bio-Nucleonics, Inc., as the Gynocyte® for low-dose-rate brachytherapy of patients with gynecologic cancer. Wolfson’s clinical interests and international recognition are in gynecologic cancers, and malignant and benign tumors of the soft tissues and bone.
