Joseph Rosenblatt M.D.
Interim Director, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer CenterJoseph D. Rosenblatt, M.D., is the interim director of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He was formerly the associate director of Clinical and Translational Research.
Dr. Rosenblatt is well known for research in the areas of human retroviruses, immune therapies for cancer, and human gene therapy and currently is a principal investigator on grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America. He is the Dr. William J. Harrington Chair in Hematology and former chief of the Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Rosenblatt joined Sylvester in September 2001 from the University of Rochester where he was formerly the chief of the Hematology-Oncology unit and associate director for Clinical Research at the renowned James P. Wilmot Cancer Center.
Dr. Rosenblatt takes pride in the continuing growth of the exceptional scientific programs at Sylvester. “We have seen a steady increase in National Cancer Institute funding for research here over the past year.
