Daughters of Penelope

Daughters of Penelope was founded in 1929 as the Senior Women’s Auxiliary of the Order of American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA), a non-profit, non-political, non-religious international organization composed of more than 50,000 members who are of Greek origin. Today, the organization has more than 350 chapters in the United States, Canada, Greece, and Cyprus and provides support to a number of local and national organizations such as the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation, the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, and Sylvester, among others.
