The Juice Foundation
The Juice Foundation, founded in 2010, pinpoints a healthy lifestyle as the essential key to the preventative effect of cancer and improving cancer survival. Through an array of healthy lifestyle forums and events, the foundation encourages individuals to be nutritious and active. These events also raise funds for selected cancer research centers in the United States as well as individuals who seek holistic healing for cancer.
Jenine Howard and Miami Heat star Juwan Howard, hosted an evening of fun, fashion and fundraising benefiting the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. More than 30 children, including those affected by cancer, graced the runway modeling the season’s hottest looks by Oxygene, while other guests, parents and children alike, indulged in healthy bites, interactive games and enjoy a live performance by Mindless Behavior. Celebrity guests include LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Udonis Haslem, James Jones, Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis. The event raised $18,000 to benefit Pediatric Oncology at alex’s place.
Founder, Jenine Howard – “When I found out my brother-in-law had cancer, I immediately began to research all cancer institutions and all alternative healing institutions. I quickly learned that a major component to its prevention and improving survival was a healthy diet. I felt compelled to do something. I’m not a doctor but I wanted to create a platform for people who need to be informed! People need to know that eating healthy can change their life!”
