Eduardo Jose de Marchena, M.D., is professor of medicine and surgery at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and Associate Dean for International Medicine Institute of the University. He is chairman of the University of Miami Medical Group, the physician practice at the University of Miami, and was the interim chair of both the Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiology. Dr. de Marchena was both educated and trained at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he completed a fellowship in cardiology.
Dr. de Marchena is an expert in interventional cardiology, and has spent more than 20 years researching and training other physicians in the field. He is the director the Miami International Revascularization Summit (MIRS) conference, held annually.
