Dr. Jessica Mercer was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, but has ventured all across the country through her educational pursuits.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Howard University, and graduated from the Honors Program with the highest distinction of summa cum laude.  She attended medical school at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, and while there was recognized with several awards for her excellence in clinical medicine.  After completing an internship in transitional medicine at New York Hospital Queens, affiliate of Cornell University, she pursued training in dermatology at Brown University, where she served as co-chief resident.  She is a board-certified diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, and is active in several dermatologic societies.  Dr. Mercer practices general adult and pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.  Her special interests include hair disorders, skin of color, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, dermatopathology, and resident education.  In her spare time, she enjoys international travel and recreation, mentorship and community service, exploring new shops and restaurants, and spending time with her Maltese, Dolce.
