Howard J. Willens, M.D., F.A.C.C., is associate professor of medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Willens holds a joint appointment at the Miami VA Medical Center (VAMC). Dr. Willens attended Columbia College as an undergraduate and received his medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He did his internship and residency at Long Island Jewish- Hillside Medical Center and his fellowship at the Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Willens is a reviewer for the journal Echocardiography. Since joining the University of Miami in 2000, he has been the first author of nine articles related to the field of echocardiography and has presented original research abstracts at the scientific sessions of the American Society of Echocardiography for the last four consecutive years.
