Biography

Maritza M. Suarez, M.D. is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Medicine at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She also serves as the Medical Director of Clinical Informatics for UHealth System.  Dr. Suarez is a native Floridian who received her medical degree and engineering degree from the University of Miami. She completed her internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. In addition to working as a Primary Care Physician, Dr. Suarez is a clinical researcher studying the effects of lowering blood pressure on cardiovascular disease, kidney disease and dementia.
