Dr. Trombly grew up in Massachusetts where he studied chemistry at Harvard University.  He received his M.D. degree from Tufts University in 2001 and completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Miami in 2008. 

He joined the faculty upon graduation and has active interests in spine and minimally invasive surgery, spinal fluid shunts and hydrocephalus, and head trauma and subdural hematomas.
