Signature Events

Each year, UM/Sylvester hosts one of two signature events – In the Garden Gala or Party in the Park.  One of the most popular and anticipated social gatherings in South Florida, last year’s In the Garden Gala was attended by more than 900 community leaders and raised more than $1 million for cancer research.  On alternate years, Party in the Park has become a favorite holiday kick-off celebration held on the grounds of The Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables.  These events are spearheaded by our dedicated donors to raise funds for cancer research at UM/Sylvester.
