American Cancer Society Resource Center Opens at Sylvester/UMHC

The Cancer Resource Center includes a "gift closet" with wigs, scarves, baseball caps, mastectomy bras, and prostheses.
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center has partnered with the American Cancer Society to open a Cancer Resource Center for current patients, survivors, and caregivers.
The center serves as a retreat to read and relax, and computer access is provided for surfing www.cancer.org and other informational sites. Free educational materials are available as well as a “gift closet” with wigs, scarves, baseball caps, mastectomy bras, and prostheses. The center’s specially trained volunteers offer free guidance and can help cancer patients and their families access needed services and programs.
The Cancer Resource Center is located on the 2nd floor of Sylvester/UMHC, room 2310, across from the retail pharmacy. It is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. To view photos, visit Sylvester on Facebook.
