Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour partners with The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center
Bal Harbour (February 2, 2013) — This February, Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour will give 5% of all registered purchases made with a Saks Fifth Avenue credit card back to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine with an initiative called Saks Loves Your Cause. The donations will benefit cancer research at Sylvester, keeping support within each Saks Fifth Avenue store’s immediate community.

Registration is one simple step at point of sale linking the customer account with their chosen charity.
Saks.com will also be supporting the program, with 5% of online purchases made using a registered Saks card to benefit Sylvester. Saks Fifth Avenue Off Fifth will be asking customers their charity preference at point of purchase.

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center opened in 1992 to provide comprehensive cancer services to the South Florida community. Together with the 40-bed inpatient hospital, Sylvester serves as the hub for cancer diagnosis and treatment for UHealth – University of Miami Health System. In 2003, Sylvester expanded its cancer services to patients in Broward and Palm Beach with the opening of Sylvester at Deerfield Beach. Two more facilities have been opened between 2009 and 2012, Sylvester at Kendall and Plantation, to serve patients in southern Miami-Dade County.
