Dr. Daniel Armstrong Receives American Cancer Society’s St. George National Award


For his longtime devotion to improving the lives of children with cancer and his work to advance science, health policy and education, F. Daniel Armstrong, Ph.D., a longtime researcher with the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and professor and Executive Vice Chair of Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, was recently honored with the American Cancer Society’s 2015 St. George National Award.

Sylvester Pediatric Oncologists Form Collaboration with Peru


As part of a unique agreement with the nation of Peru, the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of UHealth - University of Miami Health System, is helping establish a new pediatric bone marrow transplant program in Lima, as well as treating patients in the United States.

Sylvester Recognized with Customer Impact Award for New Service


Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine was recently recognized with the Greatest Customer Impact Award by the Florida Sterling Council. Sylvester’s Comprehensive Treatment Unit was honored after presenting its newest project, concierge chemotherapy, at the Florida Sterling Council State Showcase Competition in Orlando in June.
