Sylvester Joins Consortium to Preserve Fertility in Cancer Patients

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of UHealth – the University of Miami Health System, recently joined the Oncofertility Consortium, a national, interdisciplinary initiative designed to explore the reproductive future of cancer survivors. More than 220 universities and cancer centers from around the globe are members of the Consortium, including Northwestern University, Duke University, UC San Diego, and Mayo Clinic.

Sylvester and CHDS Representatives Participate in Domestic Violence Workshop

Team members from Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Jay Weiss Institute for Health Equity and the University of Miami Medical Group’s Community Health Delivery System (CHDS) participated in the 16th annual “No More Broken Hearts” domestic violence workshop created by Miami-Dade School Board Vice Chair Dorothy Bendross-Mindingal, Ph.D., and held February 20 at the Georgia Jones-Ayers Middle School.
