Sylvester Flow Cytometry Core Facility Seminar Series
Thursday, March 1st, 2012
10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Sylvester Conference Room # 1301
“New and Innovative Techniques for Flow Cytometry”
Presented by:
Mark KuKuruga
BD Biosciences, Technical Applications Specialist Manager
10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Practical Considerations for Polychromatic Flow
The advantages of multicolor flow cytometry have long been recognized but advances in technology also bring complications to match. We will look at new approaches for managing, viewing and reporting data in multicolor analysis.
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Coffee Break
11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. New Advances in Flow Cytometry
Detailed discussion of new and innovative advances in flow cytometry. Taking multicolor analysis beyond the limits of traditional flow cytometers.
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch
1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. PhosFlow: Applications for Analysis of Protein Phosphorylation
We demonstrate the ability to simultaneously monitor active protein states via phosphor-epitope recognition in subpopulations of complex cell populations by multiparametic flow-cytometric analysis.
