Description of Research
Dr. Feun’s research laboratory focuses on melanoma, hepatomas, brain gliomas and regional therapy as well as novel agents in phase I-II trials in melanoma and cancers of the hepatobiliary system.
Highlights
- Participated in Phase I and Phase II trials of arginine deiminase in melanoma. The results were presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology. This led to an R01 grant.
- In collaboration with Dr. Savaraj at the University of Miami, and Dr. Kuo at MD Anderson Hospital, obtained an R01 grant to study mechanisms of resistance to arginine deiminase therapy in melanoma, and possible methods to overcome this resistance.
