Stephan L. Zuchner, M.D., Ph.D.
Professor of Human Genomics
Description of Research
Dr. Zuchner's scientific interests lie in mapping disease genes and genomic variation that is related to disease. Dr. Zuchner's laboratory has discovered more than a dozen important genes for a number of diseases. They have also recently developed advanced genomic analysis software that allows collaborative genomic analysis for non-bioinformaticians. Dr. Zuchner plans to expand the focus of these activities into cancer genomics.
