Tumor Registry

The Tumor Registry at UM/Sylvester and Jackson Health System (JHS) has proven to be a valuable resource for hospital and administrative planning, treatment planning, research, and monitoring of patient outcomes. It is a fully integrated, multifunctional database encompassing all of the facilities contained in our Network Cancer Program including UM/Sylvester, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Jackson South Hospital, Jackson North Hospital, and Cedars Hospital.

The database itself is comprised of demographic, diagnostic, treatment and outcome information on all cancer patients with reportable disease, both analytic and non analytic, from our reference date of January 1, 2002 to the present.  Registry staff is charged with identification, collection, analysis, and quality control of the data, in addition to lifetime follow up of all analytic patients contained in the database in accordance with Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS) and American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoS CoC) guidelines.
