The OCF has offers two types of real-time PCR service:
Plate Submission: The customer submits a plate to be run on a OCF real-time PCR instrument. The plate is sealed and ready to go. The customer will receive the raw data of the run.
Full Real-Time PCR Service: The OCF designs (primers, probes), optimizes (real-time PCR conditions), runs and analyzes a real-time PCR experiment.
We generally use the Roche Universal Probe library chemistry unless the customer requests a different type of chemistry. We follow the MIQE guidelines. (Bustin et al., Clin Chem. 2009 Apr;55(4):611-22)
Applied Biosystems 7900HT Fast-Real-Time PCR System with Autoloader: A high-throughput, real-time PCR instrument that detects and quantitates nucleic acid sequences. Key applications include gene expression quantitation and qualitative detection as well as detection of SNPs using taqman and non-degenerative probe technologies.
Roche LightCycler 480: A multiwell-plate based real-time PCR platform for highly accurate qualitative and quantitative detection of nucleic acids and genotyping. Building on the benefits of Roche’s capillary-based LightCycler 1.5 and 2.0 systems, it meets the needs of a broad range of research applications such as SNP analysis, gene expression studies, and array data validation.
